Autumn? Not quite here yet, I am afraid….

I hope to see some autumn colours in this town in a few weeks, that is if the torrential rain that has been falling since Thursday does not sweep all the leaves off the branches or leaves them rotten.

However, Β I’ve noticed one unmistakable sign of Autumn: pumpkins πŸ˜€

I can’t carve them, I can’t cook them, but I hope I know how to photograph them.

Here is a bonus track for you by Smashing Pumpkins: HopeΒ

    • Merci Thierry πŸ™‚ Mon mari dit que les couleurs sont tres americaines πŸ˜€ C’est le post-processing, mais comme il pleut aujourd’hui j’ai envie d’un peu de couleur πŸ˜‰

  1. Hi
I like this one even better than the first one.
This one looks more natural as photos should look like (as in the golden age of film photography) too much editing can make photos look like paintings, but who am I to impose my opinion. These days anything can go. Don’t get me wrong I liked them both each in its own way, but I prefer this one over the first submission. Another ***** star photo from you.

  4. Beautiful pumpkins. Nice photo, Paula! I like to display a few pumpkins at the front yard when it’s close to Thanksgiving πŸ™‚

  5. I feel so far behind, still enjoying the summer feeling and to think it’s almost pumpkin time again. Great texture and colours in yours Paula!

  7. Beautiful still life.

Great track. Despite his “darkness” Billy Corgan is a tremendously creative musical talent. I just wish that he’d get a much better reign on his Jeckyl/Hyde personality. He’s proven to allow it to interfere with the work he’s done with the Smashing Pumpkins. I’m glad that they’ve been able to pull it together for at least one more project.

    • Thank you Allan πŸ™‚ It is cool that you are listening to Pumpkins too πŸ™‚ Musicians are often self-destructive, and I wonder why….
