Weekly Photo Challenge: Changing Seasons

Leaves have been brown for quite some time now, and most of them gone, and though there are no patches of snow on the ground, at least not in the city, the winter breeze can be felt in the air.

Here is a glimpse of the cathedral towers against the hazy winter sky.

… and please, don’t forget to listen to the music

  1. You have painted a winter’s scene without snow. I love the way you edited this photo, Paula. Meanwhile I’m singing your song. Have a warm weekend, my dear!

    • Thank you Marion 🙂 They are announcing -8 for this weekend… I have been working with high temperature for a week now, and will have to slave again next week … I need this weekend indoors so much. I hope you are well sweetheart x

      • You again (or still) have a fever? Not good, dear, not good! I’m so sorry. Stay in and take excellent care of yourself, alright?
On my end of the line all is well 🙂

        • Hello Mar, it is ongoing and I have no time to see a doctor, today the snow has fallen – 1 meter of it and the entire country is collapsed – my problem is that I am sharing the office with some people in heat and have to go without heating and with open windows – and in temperature. The company is being restructured, the entire management board dismissed, everybody is crazy and biting…. that’s my news … I will keep myself warm at least during the weekend. Thank you for checking on me. *hugs*

          • This is going on far too long, you have been not well for months now! *hugs*.
Working with open windows? You have GOT to be kidding me. No heating? Then at least close the windows, or kick your co-workers outside, so they can lose the heat. Can’t you work from home, Paula? That’s what I did Friday. I do hope the company will find its balance soon. I don’t want you to feel this bad.
Get into a hot bath and don’t come out until Monday morning, OK?! *sending over healing thoughts and warm energy*

            • Thank you Sweetheart. People are just mean and selfish, that’s all. You know what I do. I have a cap and a shawl and a band for my head and used that and I have a cape with a hood for the office – it sounds pathetic but with co-workers like these I have no choice, and I have an electric pad under my desk to keep me warm.. I am doing the best I can, and the crazy thing is that I have far more work than these two selfish 8itches… and they are still far from menopause… God help me when they reach that….

                • I would like that so very much, but with the company planning to fire 600 people in the near future I should chose to behave myself 😀

          • I’ve been sick too. Stayed inside for the last days now and had to call in sick for 2 days last week.
Love your cathedral photo. The architecture is magnificent!

  2. Excellent photo and description Paula. I like that song but for some reason the first song I thought of when I was this post was “Evergreen” by Faithless. It’s sort of an obscure song but check it out if you can find it.

    • Hello Phil 🙂 I’ve just heard your recommendation on you tube 🙂 I LIKE IT!!! It could go very well with the image I posted, but I am so crazy about Simon and Garfunkel ;). Thank you so much for your review and for this superb musical option 🙂

  13. I almost miss this one… I just read your and Marion’s blog. Are you okay? Hope you are keeping yourself warm, Paula. Open the window in the winter… that is so ridiculous! Take care.

    • Thank you for caring Amy. I am really not, and it is tough working with fever with these temperatures here and in a cold office…. I hope that all the mess that is now happening in the company I work for will fix that, as some of us will have to be let go and maybe I’ll get to share my office with some decent folks (eventually)

    • Hi Patti, it is really tough … the fever is still on for three weeks now, and I only hope I don’t get worse. The reason I am working in this condition and in a cold office is for fear of getting fired. 600 persons will be let go within two months in the company I work for. (more than 1/5 of staff) …. I need a prayer.

      • Good Lord, hoping the fever has broken by now and all best wishes for staying on in the job. Fear and the need to stay on top of things are so draining. Thinking of you Paula.

        • Thank you Patti. I finally decided to stay at home and work from home for a couple of days… as long as I can … I am not giving up on hope. Hugs, P.
