I don’t mind hiking uphill a little for the view, myself, but there’s no real need to here. Lovely, Paula. Thanks for putting the link in to the music. Don’t need to play “name that tune” now.
I like the Goethe quote. I spent 3 months in nepal, comfortably enjoying the view, looking at the mountains, while relaxing, reading books, cooking and enjoying life. π
No need to go up on the mountain.
Bravo,Goethe and …. bravo,Paula!

I would love, love, love that too … but it is about 6 hours drive or more π

Too bad, though I have driven 3 hours, hiked 2 miles in, and still come back without the photos I was hoping for π

I feel for you, but for me to get to these plains implies crossing two countries and paying for road toll and dragging hubby out of his chair π

So, you don’t believe in governments?

I do not trust them at all – as long as politicians have the quality they have – or lack of quality
I was brought up to responsibility and freedom go together – one of them are’t worth anything without the other one.
Politicians and thus government is worldwide
only aware of others’ responsibilities and their own freedom…

I’m not with Goeth on this one. Not till I’m too old to climb.
