There is something about Vicenza that makes one want to keep it a secret and preserve it from hoards of tourists that can be seen in large numbers in other cities in the area such as famous Verona. I have long wanted to go there, and it is odd that my trip had waited so long considering that it is only about 4 and a half hours drive from my home.
Bathed in gold, on a warm summer’s night Vicenza was a welcoming, inspiring and enchanting place to discover.
Paula — Wonderful, short post on my adopted hometown. Great pics of the iconic Basilica Palladiana and Piazza dei Signore. Too bad you didn’t tell me ahead of time that you were coming; I could’ve given you my “one euro” tour of the centro storico and a Spritz Veneziano aperitivo “on the house.” Next time, okay?
Oh dear Paula, you have brought us the splendid beauty of Vicenza, beautiful compositions!.
It is find most inspiring to look through your eyes. I am eager to learn more about photography and you sure are role model to me. Thanks! Have a lovely day.โฅ
My dear Dina, I know you are an honest person and I really like you, but you have made wrong judgement here … your photos are better than mine, and I mean it. I can’t be a role model – at least not to you :D. Thank you, you have made me laugh (you have no idea how much I needed a laugh today :D)
Eu adoro a 3e :D. Nuno, a 2e que tu adoras mostra o que se chama o famosa janela do Palladio – Palladio foi um arquiteto famoso da Italia do sรฉculo 16 ๐ Fico obrigada. Bjs
These are gorgeous Paula! It’s like I’m on my own personal treasure hunt. Every time I think I’ve read all the notification emails hiding in my inbox, another one pops up. It’s actually kind of exciting seeing what I’ve missed ๐
Yes! My inbox was so full of old emails, with more piling on every day, sometimes over 100 a day, that yours, and a lot of other new post notifications quickly got lost. Made a big dent in catching up last night too ๐
Paula.. I can see why you want to keep it a secret… beautiful… as are your photos…
