Well, I can’t take credit for the door, it was just standing there :D. This is not the highlight of the church Santa Maria degli Angioli, but I think those are the most photogenic frescoes, although they were done by some anonymous artist from the Baroque period.
Stunning photos of a wonderful antique masterpiece…..I just can’t settle on a favourite as both are wonderful in ther own way, and both are beautifully composed 🙂
😀 the photographer was pretty cranky that day, and did not like Lugano that much, but Santa Maria degli Angioli was a nice refuge from steaming hot streets of Lugano 😉
Dear Paula,
oh dear, I am actually not such a friend of these kind of frescoes, too crowded for me and most of them are alike by depicting similar senes. But what I find interesting is the perspective you choose to photograph them. I was a bit puzzled with that door to the outside. It looks that different from those two angles: you see a background and you don`t. Your two perspectives made that fresco interesting for me.
Enjoy the weekend

Thanks, my dear friend Paula, the week has started sunny and windy, perfect for hanging up all my washing 🙂

Hi dear Paula, you obviously hit Lugano on a very hot, humid day. The climate is so important to our wellbeing, there’s nothing that knocks me out more than the very hot and the very humid. Give me the North and the freshness of the sea! 🙂 I have already commented on your fine way of reflecting the scenes in the church, I just wanted to add that you have picked just the right music to go along. Have a great week and enjoy the cooler weather. 😉
In Bonn it’s raining at the moment, grey and pleasantly far away from a heat wave… 🙂
Big hug to you♥

Great take on the challenge, Paula! I love the way you give us access to the next room through your photos. And nice music to go with them.

Gorgeous! Think I prefer the portrait version, a little more than the landscape.

And I can guess why :), probably cause of the entrance into the other part of the church :). Thank you, Madhu.

Agree a bit with the norwegian ‘cardinal’, but some in fact make that quality nowadays – but too many don’t… 🙂 😉
Very well done, which one the best.? – actually I don’t know, the photographer I believe… 🙂 😉

In Norway it’s all about glass and concrete these days. No murals. The only murals you’ll see are the graffiti ones, but they don’t last very long.

I agree, I am surprised to see how much glass is growing in the norwegian landscape nowadays.
