A Walk along the Adriatic Coast: Novi Vinodolski
On the North of Croatian Adriatic there lays a small picturesque town of New Vinodol (Novi Vinodolski) that played an important role in Croatian history. Having to resist the attacks of Turks from the East and those of Venice from the West, the town needed several fortifications. The bellow gallery showcases a photo of the town’s only entirely preserved fort from the 13th century, as well as photos of a 15th century church of Saint Philip and Jacob, a traditional fishing boat, and a statue honouring soldiers from WWII.

Just yesterday hubby was listening to the 2 Cellos, the Croatian cello duo, consisting of Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser. Such fascinating and talented people and history. You’ve captured it so well with your photo’s Paula. Thanks for sharing. 😀

Good hectic or bad hectic? Well you are young, you’ll live through it. Mine hasn’t started fine either.. .back to the office with an old smelly guy who objects to my mint essential oil on my hankie – and how can I explain to him that he stinks and that I need something to cover his smell :S

hahaha….my sincerest sympathies!!! It just proves that some things are very very similar across the world!! 😀 hectic is usually something I enjoy..have too much restless energy…but yes, it has been more or less good hectic..and no smelly colleagues around…yet! And don’t forget what St. Know-All had said… age is a state of mind! 😀

On a serious note( one of those rare moments!), I totally agree with you…i think this is the best time of my life…but I happen to be a deviant from the typical Indian culture…wherein people are well settled in their lives with family and kids…whereas I am still happy monkeying around..behaving like a schoolkid! So, for Indians, this is kinda on the threshold of middle age!!

Hello Stephen, thank you very much. These are snaps taken at the worst possible time of the day what you can clearly see, but I am not that vain as to refrain myself from posting some not so good pics and deprive people from seeing lovely spots in my country. Now to the music, I am really happy you asked the question: it is a local composer: Gibonni – the second male vocal in the song, the first vocal is Urban, the song title is “Posoljeni zrak” which translates as “salted air (not salt- salted). I am happy you like it. I thought local music is fitting for this post 🙂 Have a good week!
