Few things are so exciting to see and capture as a rainbow, especially a double rainbow 😉 I captured this one during my holiday in Slovakian mountains Tatras.
I hope you will enjoy this remix too
Let’s see other entries to Weekly Photo Challenge: Refraction
Refraction, huh? Tricky one! Beautifully done, Paula. Is work a little more relaxed this week or are you better at fitting it all in after your holiday? Have a happy weekened!
Hi Jo, it has been (and will be) very busy, but unlike all other people at the company that are stressed out and down, I am still under the impact of my holidays – working intensely but not really being here. 😀 Have a happy weekend too Jo 🙂
Wow! Awesome Paula. It’s beautiful. Great photo and view. You’re right; it’s not often that you get to see double rainbows.
I’ve captured it only once myself.
😀 You are right, and I have just realised that I am a spoiled brat complaining about my lousy holidays this summer and fall; in retrospect they were more than good 🙂 This was my first double rainbow ever.
Wonderful photo catch. I was canoeing down, I think, the Loire many years ago when a ground to ground double rainbow appeared behind us. It is an astonishing sight.
Tremendous shot!
Did you know that on the lighter, secondary rainbow the colors are reversed because it is a reflection of the darker, primary rainbow?
Hello Phil, I hadn’t given it any thought until you mentioned it 🙂 Thanks a lot. I have been very distracted lately, but I did not forget your blog… I appreciate seeing you here and reading you 🙂
Paula don’t worry for a second about not visiting my blog, I have not been able to get at anyone’s blog for a while. Plus I’m just posting the same stuff… birds flying around, alligators being alligators. You know, the usual. 🙂
