Photography 101: Triumph

I figured that Lady Liberty needed a bit of a touch-up, so I decided to help her…. Please, meet Lady Pliberty.

Pliberty

This is not what I would call a photography project, but a photo-montage… still I hope it will provoke some laughs. This is the final post in this Photo 101 challenge ending with the theme of triumph.

Now honestly, isn’t she twice the lady she used to be?

ADDENDUM: My blogger friend Yvette at priorhouse.wordpress.com suggested I should show what Lady Liberty had looked like before my intervention, so here, have a peek: 😀

  1. Wonderful to see that you haven’t lost your sense of humour despite the stress of recent events, Paula 🙂 Now that’s what I call a makeover! And the Lionel Ritchie made me smile even more 🙂 🙂

  2. Haha, you definitely made me laugh Paula! Lady Pliberty looks fabulous.
Your photoshopping was a great surprise (I knew that you’d planned something, I just didn’t know what).

  3. Lovely little touch of lipstick to bring Lady Liberty into the present age, in which no self respecting celebrity would be seen in public without makeup. 🙂 Love this song, and it’s most appropriate. Happy weekend, Paula. xx

  4. Twice the lady – but not very feminine! She looks as if she could take on all the demons in your life and knock them into shape. As always your photo is so beautifully defined. I hope you’re enjoying a restful weekend.

    • This is true- she is a lady, though not very feminine. You have noticed something that nobody else did – she is a tough one, and you have no idea how grateful I am. I have complained before of some visitors and I will say it again here – why do some people visit my posts if they are as blind as a bat I don’t know. 😦

    • Hello Lumar 🙂 I hope you’ve noticed all the differences 🙂 Some people only saw the lipstick but it is a face morphing between me and Liberty, and hence the name Pliberty 😉 Thank you very much for your visit and comment.

  5. It’s true that lipstick adds quite a bit of character, to both the animate and inanimate. 😉

  7. Oh my gosh Paula – when you see the pics side by side (for before and after) it really highlights the amazing photoshop work – this was such fun idea and I think I also appreciate it because I am getting inundated with images of trees, holiday food, ornaments – and all that – which is good – but to see this is just fresh and fun – and you did such a good job

  8. Love it! Excellent “montage”!
(Aucun rapport, mais j’ai pensé à la chanson de Richie Havens: Freedom!)
    Bonne fin de semaine Paula.
