We are very fortunate in Canada and particularly late in careers when holiday times have built up over the decades. My part time jobs are flexible so I am extra lucky in that regard.
That’s cool Sue. Plenty to be happy about. We get very few days here, and since it is not easy to get sick leave, I often use my annual leave days (holiday days) to cure my colds or flu or similar. I will be looking forward to your posts from Mexico. 🙂
As I read this Paula it reminds me to be even more grateful than usual for the gift of our sick leave and holiday time here in this country. It does vary company to company but overall we are very fortunate.
Bonne année Paula. Une merveilleuse photo de Bologne.
(I knew it was Bologna even before checking the legend. We were there just a couple of months before you and I loved it)
Very good lighting.
Comment ça va?
🙂
you too Paula – and I tried to get a dusk shot earlier in the week but it was an epic fail – ha! but funny how challenges work because even though I did not get a shot – I had fun passing to enjoy the sky… 🙂 ❤
none! well I swept the walkway last weekend but it has been frigid and gray skies this week – arctic air came down – but next week will have some warmer temps so I will have my yard chairs set up! but I did take vitamin D and cod liver oil! 🙂
Through the shadows they disappeared into the light… Feels like a lovely atmosphere there, Paula, and I like the details that can be noticed, especially, the design of the lantern. 🙂
PS: Enjoyed the music….still am…
This photo is beautifully moody, and does converging lines well too.
I suspect I’ve said before that this year will be the year of the night shot – northern hemisphere in winter will give many hours to practise! You are an inspiration.
Framing within framing 🙂

Now, that you mention it I can see several instance of framing within the main frame. Cool 😀

See, you can do candid shots and keep your camera steady. 🙂 Nicely done, Paula. As mentioned above, the frame within a frame effect works well here.
