Black & White Sunday: Convergence

 

Convergence is the act of converging, merging, uniting.

If you have skills or resources to merge photos (or shoot in camera double exposures) you can show it for this theme – that’s one way to interpret it.

Other ways are to find a point where several other points (beings, things etc.) cross, come together. Think of confluence, concurrence, meetings, encounters, mingling. I think I have said enough 😀 .  It’s up to you now. Have a good and creative Sunday! Your entries may be submitted any time between now and the next Black & White Sunday.

    • Tack Lena. I think that this quote really sums up what the right attitude in the process of taking photos is. Nowdays in the digital era it may not be so evident as in the film era, when photographers had to take a more cautious attitude when shooting. Today there are so many snappers that call themselves photographers (not saying of course that you are, but you must have noticed them around)

  10. Every quote I’ve ever read from Cartier-Bresson has been wonderfully perceptive, this no exception. In your photo the curved bits of line add interest to the retreating perspective, as do the graffitied carriage, the buildings and the overhead wires and stuff. You ALWAYS value add – and I hope this weekend also been able to relax.

    • I’ve just checked my phone for comments notification, and I thank you for your input. I am not relaxing at all (not even time to eat and much.less for anything else). As I said on Friday I.am working 30 unpaid hours this weekend which.consists in translating several dozens pages that will.ruin the company I work for and subsequently the country. See you.

    • Hello precious. It is not all bad, but so very busy. Thank you for asking. Yes, I have been standing on the train tracks without feeling suicidal :D. The music is by Japanese band “Mono”. This track is called Loco Track. I find it very suitable. xx

  34. Wonderful interpretation for this challenge. A wonderful mood. I can almost hear the train whistle blowing. And your blog is giving me lots of ideas of different images I would like to try. I’ve just read the instructions for how to shoot multiple exposures.

  41. Although I worry about the world becoming enmeshed in a steel cat’s cradle, I found this photo very soothing and beautiful… convergence is pleasing to the brain.
