Lovely shot, but a very lonely tree!
And, as ever, I enjoyed the accompanying music

I like your tree though it stands alone. Here’s mine this week Paula. Liked your music too

A lonely tree is a very sad thing. It poses questions about what the landscape was once like. Photographically, of course, it’s a beauty. Patterns, textures and layers and dead centre, the tree.

I see it as something optimistic 🙂 Thank you, Meg.

I’ll recalibrate my thinking! I’d just been reading about plans to attack the ancient forest on the border between Belarus and Poland, so my view was jaundiced.

There is something special with trees standing alone.
When I look through my photos – I see that this topic “One” fits well on many of them.
Here is one (hehe) of them: http://wp.me/p3gqMf-pB

Yes, I’m for lone trees too. What’s interesting about this one is it may be alone, but it’s certainly standing up for itself on that hillside. Can’t keep a good tree down. Happy Sunday, Paula.

First, I love your entry for this challenge. The lone tree surrounded by endless rolling hills evoked this thought ‘When I feel alone, I need only to look around to see the beauty that surrounds me and know that the possibilities are endless.’ Perhaps a bit corny, but that was what came to me.
Second, I am honored that you invited me to guest host on your blog. I had so much fun with creating the post and enjoyed our correspondence during the publishing process. I look forward to interacting with each of your readers from my tomorrow morning (The Captain is ringing the dinner bell now).
And last, but not least, I am delighted to have been able to make you laugh and smile.
I want nothing more than all that you have wished for me. Thank you

Reminds me of the words of the song, “All Alone Am I Ever Since Your Goodbye!” A lovely photo of one, Paula, and great music! I know I haven’t gone completely B&W but I do hope you’ll excuse it this time! https://livingwithmyancestors.wordpress.com/2016/04/17/sunday-selfies-blog-hop-88-and-black-and-white-sunday-one/

I like how you’ve carefully composed the image, Paula. The slopes running diagonally across the frame render a sense of motion, adding that bit of energy to the picture. Simple, yet powerful.

I love trees. Alone or together, ideally a forest. Trees are alive and a great way to recharge as humans is to spend time under and with one (or more) trees.
