It is Passo Stelvio in Italy, Meg. Yes, it is a road a narrow one, but we crossed narrower this summer. I like the thrill of serpentine roads. Thank you for your nice comment.
Back to yourself and quick off the mark again- I love it, Paula. 🙂 I have lots to do tonight and a very poor Internet connection so I’m glad I caught you before I check out. Fabulous! My kind of road (but I’m never the driver 🙂 ) Sending big hugs. Hope you have a good weekend.
Hello Sreejith, I’m glad to see you again. I have been absent for months in the recent past, and then busy, but things are looking better these days. I really look forward to catching up with you. I don’t think I will be going to Himalayas and I consider this a huge compliment. This was taken on my recent holiday in Italy.
What an amazing photo Paula! Those roads are unlike anything I have seen before. You like narrow windy roads? You must have nerves of steel my friend! Wonderful capture
Wow what a great serpentine road, some years ago we crossed the alps on our way to Italy on such serpentine roads. Love this picture because it brings memories back !
No real connection. I pick scores according to my current inspiration, the one I think would accompany image best. Sometimes I hear music and take a photo afterwards. Inspiration comes from different sources.
Thank you, Bipasha. I’ve just stopped by your blog and was very pleasantly surprised to see great photos of my country featuring my favourite places 🙂
Well, this looks amazing, so good to hear you enjoyed yourself and yeah, same here, not totally absent, (home for a week ;), but just not enough time to make a proper blogpost, still lurking around though, enjoy your sunday!
Wonderful image.

What a completely magnificent photo: mist, clouds, and snow. Is that a road?? It’s spectacular, but I don’t want to drive it. Where is it?

I, too, love the thrill of serpentine roads…this one is my favourite, sadly I no longer drive the distances thes days, so unlikely to do any more…

It was a great road to drive in an old sportscar, I have always said I don’t enjoy driving in a straight line, give me some bends!

Yes Paula, it’s been a long time 🙂
Even I had taken a hibernation in between, and now feel great to be back 🙂
I had taken a trip to the Himalayas recently and seen many a narrow roads like this.
I have a few friends in Italy and seen many an images from the mountain regions, they looked great.
I certainly would like to explore this region, but not sure, when???
🙂
Have a nice weekend 🙂
