Black & White Sunday: Landscape

Today we are having everyone’s favourite theme: landscape. The only trick is that it has to be in black and white. My memories have taken me to Poland, this time on the shores of lake Czorsztyn.

A path, a meadow, some trees, and an old castle hanging above a lake; what more should a landscape have?

Here you can check out the same thing in colour.

If you want to participate in Black & White Sunday photo challenge, make sure to:

  • make a B&W photo post on today’s theme before next Sunday, 3 December

  • link it to this challenge post and tag it   #blackandwhitesunday

  • leave a comment under this post (pingbacks are not comments)

Monochrome landscapes are not always easy, but the contributors came up with some fascinating images. Check them out on the following links:

  2. Your photo reminds me of an old black & white postcard I have from the small town in Poland(Galicia) my husband’s family is from. (Niebylec) Amazing the similarity though the postcard is from the 1930’s! Beautiful countryside.

  3. Hurrah! My favourite subject indeed even, and especially in B & W. Your Polish scene does indeed give us everything. I love the way the light catches that curving glimpse of the path through the trees, and v. dramatic overarching sky. And I’m enjoying this music track. Wishing you a less busy Sunday 🙂

    • Ha, I went to see your post before reading this. Why did I think that all of you were landscape photographers. This entry may easily contradict you. I had fun taking photos for the weekly challenge that I will post tomorrow, so yes, I managed to have some relax time this weekend. Thank you, Jude 🙂
