I like walking at dusk and after the dusk to see how different places look under artificial lights. Here are two captures of the same scene, one with and one without a passing tram.
EVANESCENT
Ball reflecting the new building of music academy with the building of Croatian National Theatre in the background
I thought it would be a good idea to take Jo for a night walk through the centre of Zagreb. This is linked to her Monday Walk, but also to EVANESCENT weekly photo theme.
I like the one with evanescent tram, Paula. Both are gorgeous images, but the lines of tram light effectively blank out the detail of the cars.
Your combined positioning of ball and theatre is excellent.
Thanks a lot, Debbie. I prefer the first one too. The square was also filled with screaming children, cyclists and other passers-by. It was weekend around 8 pm. Long exposure took care of them 😀
Well, admittedly I’m looking at an image on your blog , and not the original…but unless you have plans to create large size prints (and I don’t know what an image looks like large) I would think you’re fine!
both beautiful Paula, my eye is more drawn to the first one. Love the music. Have a wonderful weekend- it has been an intensely busy week- will get my Thursday Special in over the long weekend !(Memorial Day here)
Love them both, Paula, but after back and forth reflection, I think I prefer the first for most of the same reasons already stated! Love the energy of the stringed instruments in your music! 😀 Have a wonderful weekend!
Paula the ball in the foreground looks like pure magic. What beautiful images. I feel as though I am standing there right beside you. Which would be a lovely thing indeed.
Ah, that’s much better! 🙂 🙂 I hate viewing on my phone. It’s beautiful, Paula, and I really love the music too. Thanks a lot! Wishing you a peaceful, happy weekend.

I’ve always loved night walk. We never know the city where we live, before we have seen it at night… 🙂
