Welcome to another Thursday’s Special photo challenge. For those that do not know, this is a weekly event where you are invited to post a photo (or several if you like) on the given theme. The deadline is by next Thursday. Today’s theme, imitation,  should not be too difficult. After all, the world is full of it.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy Thursday!

Let’s see others’ imitations:

and my personal favourite

    • Jo, can you see this photo? I think that WordPress wants me to stop blogging. I am having problems logging on and editing posts, and visiting people. Can you tell me if the bottom half of the image is blurred as it appears on my screen, please?

      • Sorry darlin! I just went back to take a look. My initial response was that it wasn’t as focused as your photos usually are. I thought it was a distance shot and you’d ‘blown it up’ but it works fine. If you hadn’t asked I wouldn’t have thought anything of it. 😦

        • No, it is not that. In my image it is completely blurred as in very abstract watercolour. So, you can probably see it as it see plus the usual web lack of sharpness.

          • I’ve never experienced that with WP though the logging in/commenting stuff is familiar enough. I did notice that you didn’t have any comments- just likes, which is unusual at yours. I should just leave it a while and come back to it later. Sorry sweetheart! As if life isn’t trying enough. 😦

              • Hello Becky, that’s the way it is supposed to be, with the focus on the whale. On my display the day when I started the discussion (4 days ago) there were some serious issues.

                • I did not (could not) sort anything. All malfunctions are the doings of WP, not mine. Anyway I am much too busy with my problems at work to be so troubled by some web site.

                  • oh no . . sorry I clearly misunderstood . . thought you had. Agree the doings of WP are not worth the effort of trying to figure out, they do seem to have made changes recently. Hope your work troubles go away soon.

                    • Don’t worry, Becky. WP is making impossible for me to edit posts as I would like, and visit bloggers and link some times and it is making me tired.

                    • not surprised . . . ….love computers and WP when it works but when it doesn’t it is HORRID.

                      Sending energy and hugs x

        • Yes, that’s what it is supposed to look like, but on my display at the moment, there is no whale at all, just a blue smudge. I will see your post when it is technically and humanly possible.

  5. All is clear on my screen – photo and comments, Paula. I’m v. sorry that WP is giving you a hard time. In the past I’ve found that Microsoft updates on my pc can make WordPress very hard to handle, resolved only by going back to the previous setting before the update.

    • Dear Sue, I am having issues with WordPress. I wrote you a reply a few minutes ago and it never came through. The work is making me so stressed with pending layoffs – more than a third of employees, and WordPress is not helping with stuff that is supposed to be fun. Thank you for keeping in touch despite my scarce presence. There should be more people like you.

      • Oh I am very sorry to hear of the stress Paula. The job insecurity can be excruciating. I am sending positive energy and hugs and so hoping things turn out well for you. Xo

        • Thank you, Sue. It’s getting rougher by the day. I will have to wait to see if I am the one to loose job soon, some really be restructuring is going on and 757 people will be let go.

  15. Your imitation is absolutely fabulous, Paula. I had to do a double-take! LOL! Love Michael Jackson! In perusing the comments, I’m so sorry you’re having WP issues. Computers can be so rewarding when they work right or so very frustrating when things are off. I hope things are starting to sync now for you. Hugs to feel better.

  18. I’m not sure who the character being imitated is…must be a sign that I’m out of some loop. Sigh. But Tour de Fat is a day when the city is filled with bikes, imitations, and…of course music and beer. All in all a great escape from the frustrations and fears of today’s world
