THURSDAY’S SPECIAL: IMITATION
Welcome to another Thursday’s Special photo challenge. For those that do not know, this is a weekly event where you are invited to post a photo (or several if you like) on the given theme. The deadline is by next Thursday. Today’s theme, imitation, should not be too difficult. After all, the world is full of it.
Wishing you all a happy and healthy Thursday!

Ah! The killer variety, accompanied by Prince 🙂 🙂 Love it, Paula! Still as frantic as ever, juggling work and life? Sending hugs!

Jo, can you see this photo? I think that WordPress wants me to stop blogging. I am having problems logging on and editing posts, and visiting people. Can you tell me if the bottom half of the image is blurred as it appears on my screen, please?
LikeLike
Sorry darlin! I just went back to take a look. My initial response was that it wasn’t as focused as your photos usually are. I thought it was a distance shot and you’d ‘blown it up’ but it works fine. If you hadn’t asked I wouldn’t have thought anything of it. 😦
LikeLike
No, it is not that. In my image it is completely blurred as in very abstract watercolour. So, you can probably see it as it see plus the usual web lack of sharpness.
LikeLike
I’ve never experienced that with WP though the logging in/commenting stuff is familiar enough. I did notice that you didn’t have any comments- just likes, which is unusual at yours. I should just leave it a while and come back to it later. Sorry sweetheart! As if life isn’t trying enough. 😦

I am getting very irritated at WordPress, and most of the time I am bored silly.

I haven’t had any problems with WP. Perhaps you have picked up a virus or trojan from someones comments. Perhaps run a scan to try and find the cause.

I haven’t. My husband is IT and he maintains my system.

Sorry for my stupid grin at your comment. He better get onto your system and get it fixed. I don’t want to lose your fab challenges x

It is not my husband’s problem. I am having issues with WordPress and I can’t stress it enough. I will look at your entry when I am able to, given the difference in hours, my worktime, and technical possibilities.

ust do what you can Paula. No stress or concern about my stuff from me. Hope you have a calm and stress free day x

Hello Becky, that’s the way it is supposed to be, with the focus on the whale. On my display the day when I started the discussion (4 days ago) there were some serious issues.

What exactly is blurred on yours? I think I got my answer.

glad you got it sorted. What a pain though.

I did not (could not) sort anything. All malfunctions are the doings of WP, not mine. Anyway I am much too busy with my problems at work to be so troubled by some web site.
LikeLike
oh no . . sorry I clearly misunderstood . . thought you had. Agree the doings of WP are not worth the effort of trying to figure out, they do seem to have made changes recently. Hope your work troubles go away soon.

Don’t worry, Becky. WP is making impossible for me to edit posts as I would like, and visit bloggers and link some times and it is making me tired.

not surprised . . . ….love computers and WP when it works but when it doesn’t it is HORRID.

The rocks in the foreground are blurred the rest of the photo is fine

Yes, that’s what it is supposed to look like, but on my display at the moment, there is no whale at all, just a blue smudge. I will see your post when it is technically and humanly possible.

This makes me sad as I look forward to writing with you. I hope it is a software problem. Maybe reinstall WP?

All is clear on my screen – photo and comments, Paula. I’m v. sorry that WP is giving you a hard time. In the past I’ve found that Microsoft updates on my pc can make WordPress very hard to handle, resolved only by going back to the previous setting before the update.

Agree. MS updates have a rotten habit of causing many an embuggerance.
On our other laptop, Windows 10, every single perishing update screws up the microphone! Nuts.

I should have three computers, one just for WP, but that would be silly.

Yes … it is pain in the backside.
Of late, when I open my ”Reader” and try to visit the blofs I follw things just grind to a halt and my laptop freezes.
If I visit sites from my email, not problems whatsoever.
Things went haywire when WP ”upgraded” to supposed easier more improved uploader.
I never use it as it is so slow.

I can see the photo. So that’s a fake killer whale? I can’t see it sharply enough to know for sure, so I’m guessing it’s inflatable?

Dear Sue, I am having issues with WordPress. I wrote you a reply a few minutes ago and it never came through. The work is making me so stressed with pending layoffs – more than a third of employees, and WordPress is not helping with stuff that is supposed to be fun. Thank you for keeping in touch despite my scarce presence. There should be more people like you.

Actually, it is a funny story. It belonged to a non-swimmer Polish lady who lost it at sea (she used to swim attached on its hump), then her husband retrieved it and handed it back to her. Here is the pic 😀 https://bopaula.wordpress.com/2015/08/23/black-white-sunday-summertime/
