For the last Thursday’s Special in 2017 I am offering you a challenge that IS NOT, and yet it might be the most challenging one so far 😀
I would like you to post again what you consider to be your best shot posted this year.
The end of this year has been a bit more stressful than usual for me, but I am hopeful that things will get better eventually. I would like to thank all my friends here for constant support and positive wishes.
I absolutely love the this shot, Paula. I was hoping for Traces of the Past but sometimes it’s easier to go with the flow. Thanks for the good wishes. Sending you a monster hug with hopes for better health next year xxx
My best shot was the one that got away: late evening light on a row of houses reflected in the lake from my brother’s deck. I saw it, I loved it, I lost it. However, I can always enjoy the superior exquisiteness of your photo and feel nourished. Best of good wishes for you and your people in 2018 – good health, energy and peacefulness, and anything else you want to add. Say hello to Zagreb for me.
This has been a dodgy year for many of us, so I am giving my whole-hearted support to a much better year coming up. Better health, better work, more money, and a lot more fun. May your life turn around in the best possible way!! Hugs from all of us!
Thank you, dear Marilyn. I hope the one upstairs will hear you 🙂 I loved seeing your posts and reading you this year, sharing in your thoughts. My very best to you and Garry and the rest of you!
That was really a hard one, Paula. As I wrote in my post: my pick tonight might be different from my pick tomorrow. But I picked one. Your photo of Rovinj, that play of light, is quite stunning – if I didn’t say it then I am doing so now. I hope you have a great start for the new year.
A lovely image Paula and I too wish you a less stressful year ahead. Hard for me to choose a favourite, so I have gone with an image which means such a lot to me emotionally. And one which reminds me that we should never, ever take life for granted. xx
Jude, the image you posted really touched me. This year had its challenges, that’s for sure. Hope you and your family will have a calm and a very happy one in 2018! Love xx
A truly wonderful image Paula – a great pick for your end of year post. Detail, colour, composition, balance – it has it all. And your music choice is a great support.
Thanks for all of your challenging and fun challenges this year Paula. All my hugs and best wishes to you for a stress- and injury-free 2018.
I love this photo, Paula. The light is perfect. I couldn’t decide on one so I did a combination post for the WPC challenge and yours with a 2017 retrospective of sorts. My favorites I posted from places I visited. .I hope your 2018 is a wonderful and peaceful new year. I look forward to your new challenges.
I can see why – everything works. The strong zig-zag directional composition, the arc of light, the soft lid of the sky and the gentle turn of the sea/coastline. Lovely!
Hi Paula. I’ve just discovered your Thursday Specials and decided to take up your challenge. It was a challenge for me to pick a best shot, but I did and for different reasons. https://dibzzen.com/2018/01/04/best-shots-of-2017/

No problem. I did not make any updates since it was published at night. Maybe it wasn’t shown on the phone if it was checked out on a phone :I.
