Welcome to Thursday’s Special photo challenge. Today’s theme is Blue Hour. It is my favourite time of the day for photo shooting. Hoping that you like this theme as much as I do, I look forward to seeing your entries 🙂
This is one very stunning composition, Paula. Love the almost stage-set type clarity of the townscape, and the softer focus of receding hills. You have the sensation of being in both places at this hour – the town lighting up, and the coming night’s busyness, but also knowing out in the countryside things are quieter and the lights gentler and more sparse. And then that glass-like water. Magic!
That is a fantastic image, Paula! I haven’t done any ‘blue hour’ for a while, but I can dig one out from the archives (not as impressive as this, though!)
Such a tranquil lovely setting Paula. I’d quite forgotten it’s Thursday. I’m ensconced in my happy place with half an eye on the world. Please take good care xxx
A magical moment you capture here Paula, such a beautiful image! We tend to have ‘golden hour’ here in the evening and ‘blue hour’ in the morning, especially when the light is reflected in water. My contribution for this week is here: https://tranature.com/2018/06/27/wordless-wednesday-six-weeks-old/
A gorgeous image Paula – stunning location, perfect time of day, and a great photographer x

That’s a wonderful photo. So atmospheric. I’m a country mouse, so I’m not sure I can come up with anything as spectacular as this. I’ll have a think.
