THURSDAY’S SPECIAL: PICK A WORD IN AUGUST – Y3 (fortified, chic, submerged, embodiment, prehistoric)
Here we are again facing another Pick a Word challenge. The words I picked for you this time are hardly challenging. Still, I hope you will enjoy taking part in it.
Hello Paula, reading Jo’s comment, I think I’m recognising some of your locations too. Isn’t that Carnac in the final shot. Very, very long time since I was there. Hope all is well with you.
Hello Paula, I am glad I found this before I head to bed. I am not well so I will tackle these words tomorrow. Lovely to see you in my timeline. Hope dearly hope you are rested and well xx
I am always searching for new “old” stones, and this little circle looks perfect in a quiet location and free to feel and touch. Thank you so much, dear Tish.
I didn’t have to look up any of the words, but they were great words. I got a bit hung up on “embodiment” — I had a few more than I really needed, so what the heck …
Your fortification is much more fortified than mine!
Hope you had an enjoyable (or at least restful break) Paula and your stresses have lessened. I loved coming and seeing your rich photographs depicting the words. I may have understood every word this week but it didn’t make it any easier to find the appropriate photos to go with them. Perfectly matched photos and words, Paula! Love them all. As for your music selection, I knew I should have continued learning French! 😁💕
Hoping all is well with you!
Hi Paula – great to her you back! I hope you had a wonderful break.
You’ve given us some very tempting words for August and it has taken me a while to decide what to go with. But then I read some moving words beneath a statue i have walked past many times, and my mind was made up. So embodiment it is. https://travelwithintent.com/2018/08/19/robert-scott-statue-london-discovery-dundee/
Welcome back Paula, we hope you had a wonderful time on your holidays. I love the first image especially, it looks like a beautiful place to explore. My contribution for this challenge is here: https://tranature.com/2018/08/23/everyday-cygnet-moments/
Welcome back, Paula! 🙂 🙂 Hope you had a relaxing and lovely holiday. In France, I presume? Love that first shot- Nantes?- and ‘submerged’.

Hello Tish, I am well, just very busy. It’s not Carnac, but Kerzerho, very close to Carnac. We’ve been there too.
