Ms Rosso suggested closeness between people as this week’s photo challenge example, and therefore I decided to post another “close” scene featuring my hubby and me. 2_Cesaria_evora_&_pedro_guerra_-_Tiempo_y_silencio (click on the link on the left to hear the song that transmits how I feel about this picture)
A few days ago I tried to take some macro shots with a pre-lens for my Canon PowerShot G1 x, and I saw this week’s theme as an opportunity to show them off ;). Here are some green close-ups taken at my town, and here is some music too 🙂 04 – A Man Called Adam With Eddie Parker Easter Song (click on the link…
Once again Ms Rosso made me do something I had never done before. The weekly challenge said: “friendship” so I grabbed my camera and went for a tour of my neighbourhood. It is the first time that I took a shot at street photography and not being looked suspiciously upon, or being scolded as a stalker, I have to admit I had fun taking…
Never say never… Just a few days ago I swore to a friend of mine that I would never take iphone pics and much less upload them on the Internet, and then Sara came up with a new photo challenge that did not sit well with me: TODAY (or in my interpretation: a licence to post a crappy “spur of the moment” pic). As…
I wish I could say “Summer’s in the air“, but it is not the case here, not yet. The weather has been wild for the last couple of weeks. Here I give you a few snapshots of summer the way it is in the Adriatic. I can still recall the smell of the sea, the late summer breeze and the joy that sounds of waves splashing over rocks bring…
This past Friday brought me two photo challenges or better said pressures. I have been trying to take photos of hands with my new Canon PowerShot G1 x but the results are so disappointing (sometimes working under pressure can be counter productive). Still as I am not the one to pass on a challenge I dug up some old photos that can account for…
I might have got carried away here by posting several photos, all taken in the Alps that seems my favourite place to be… up in the air, closer to the skies one gets a different perspective on life. I don’t think these photos are something to be admired by photographic professionals, but they are my memories, and looking at them makes me smile.
Honesty, I am not in favour of this week’s theme. I am only learning photography and don’t own equipment suited for experimental shots, and naturally I discard all blurred and out of focus pics. This one was taken on purpose with this challenge in mind. I chose the subject of a blurred text as I remembered studying for my university exams years ago. This…
This photo was taken above Lake Iseo in Italy at a village called Zone that is famous for erosion pyramids I have already shown in my post “Memories from Italian Lakes”.
I almost gave up on this week’s photo challenge, but I stumbled upon this photo taken last winter on Gozo on the Maltese archipelago. It was taken with hubby’s Canon 450 and a wide angle lens. It will be a while though before I am ready to take photos as good as Jeff Sinon‘s. Thank you for your support Jeff ;).
