I’m completely shamed. I thought “Maggie who?” And then I flicked back to your other post, and it was James. I wrote a thesis on the man fifty years ago, and I know NOTHING. I’ll have to go and reread – and I don’t think I have the will or the stamina, of maybe even the life-expectancy.
All this soul-searching provoked by your lovely photo, so sharp and clear. Two words you’d never apply to James’ prose style!

I started replying to you and then I lost my reply. Meg, if I had known it would make you guilty about not remembering her I would have chosen an artichoke photo for this Sunday post. Surely, one must not read everything by a man to write a thesis on him. I only took a pic of Maggie cause she is on my shelf. She is far from my favourite Henry James’ character Kate Croy https://bopaula.wordpress.com/2014/05/25/bw-sunday-moving-on/ 😉

I laughed and laughed and laughed at the idea of an artichoke instead of a James character. I suspect “The golden bowl” was one of three novels I focused on, although I can’t find the paperwork to confirm it. Thank you for considering my feelings so superbly!

Here in Delhi, we have a Dolls Museum, with beautiful dolls from all over the world. This reminds reminds me of one of those dolls. Beautiful ❤ Mesmerizing !

Yes; I agree, and thank you for noticing it Hilary. I was lucky to find not expensive collection of literary heroines – there were supposed to be 45 of them, but the series was discontinued after 15th doll – a shame. I have already posted some of them. Some day soon I will assemble them together in one post 🙂
