Thursday’s Special: Pick a Word in December

Here we have again the recurrent photo challenge theme: Pick a Word. As usual you have a possibility to choose between five different words, or do several or even all together (in one post). Here are my five examples for:

aquatic

protrusion

echo

amiable

libation

I hope that this challenge has just the right amount of  “challenging” for you and that you’ll enjoy it in 2017 too.

protrusion

echo

amiable

amaro
libation

To join the challenge you are supposed to:

  • Make a photo post post featuring one or more photos on one (or all) of the provided words, before next Thursday.

  • Link to this challenge post, and tag your post #thursdaysspecial

  • Leave a comment under this post (pingbacks are not comments).

Details about the photos:

#1 was captured one hot summer on Dugi Otok island in Croatia.

#2 is a detail of a fence of the botanical garden in Zagreb, Croatia.

#3 is a random shot of a repetitive pattern of a plant.

#4 is not my cow. You could have seen her in monochrome before

#5 is a glass of Amaro that I drank on the shores of lake Orta a few summers back.

  6. What wonderful photos you have. Your coastline is wonderful, your protrusion potentially painful, the grass softens, the cow makes you smile (and that wonderful green grass wouldn’t see me looking for a different pasture) but that glass so clear against the mountains and lake makes me think I must have had a libation too many. 1. I almost did not post “echo” I found it too somber and metalic. Yes, the first one is a wonderful protrusion. Thank you for a favourable review, Jude 🙂 Between 5 words, you’ll find something great I know.

  17. Here you are being generous with an interesting array of themes again. My favourite is libation. It reminds me of my travel dream in 2014, which I realised on one occasion in a restaurant in Dubrovnik – dusk, wine and a view over water. My “echo” would’ve been the twins roaring through a gateway into a courtyard to create the echo, but it was dark, I didn’t have my camera and the wind was carving into us viciously.

    1. Thank you, Meg. I like being perceived as generous :). In my mind’s eye I can see your twins and even here their voices. That would be a memorable photograph. Libation in Dubrovnik accompanied with a sound of waves would be another memorable image as it would revoke my past memories too. I still remember your photo taken from a shop window as you were walking to the old town from my old neighbourhood. Thank you for this lovely message reminder.
