The largest brick dome ever constructed can be found on the famous Florence cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore and is a work of the 14^th century Florentine architect Filippo Brunelleschi.

The intricate frescoes that ornate its interior were painted by Giorgio Vasari and Frederico Zuccari between 1572 and 1579.
