CBBH Photo Challenge: BLUE

There is no better time to remember the blue skies than on the first day of November with the rain pouring heavily outside. Later this month I am going to Rome with a hope of getting some more of Italian sunshine… till then let’s enjoy some snaps of Pompeii, Vesuvius, Amalfi and Capri.

I give you the best of Italy, with a song interpreted by grande Pavarotti.

This is my response to CBBH challenge. While we are in Italy, let me introduce you to two outstanding Italian photographers I have discovered on WP:  Alessandro Ciapanna and  Andrea Danani. Wishing you all more sunny days.

  1. Lovely photos to brighten any dull, rainy day, Paula. I love Italy, especially the Amalfi coast area. It’s a few years since I was at Pompeii and Capri – I remember we stayed in Sorrento.

Thanks for the introduction to the two Italian photographers – excellent!

  2. Awwww beautiful and sunny! Lovely Paula! 🙂
Pavarotti is a bit heavy for me, i like Domenico Modugno better! By the way, Volare fits perfectly your shots! Not only cause they are blue, but cause they are so serene, it’s like flying around those places! (obviously i am inspired tonight! 😛 )

Wonderful shots – I like most the mountain and the beautiful cloud above it with the sea in front and the sky as backup – I’m drawn by heights and water… ‘smile’

      1. I’ve never seen Vesuvius from the seaside only been there from the land side – volcanoes are interesting – one of the reasons that I like to go to Iceland too, which is a “dramatically” island – but the italian Vesuvius, Etna, Stromboli is also very exciting – Stromboli is a bit half dangerous, “a real sicilian “. ‘big big smile’
