That could be Papiamento, one of the languages spoken in Aruba, but I’m not sure.

Sorry about the miss spell… but that is too much of a hurry… some of the words looked that way to me but quite a few if said phonetically they would definitely be an African language… I can’t spell or write in the Shona, Zulu or N’dbele languages that I partially understand… Hell I can’t even spell in English, but they could be that the African Languages have adopted a similar word for themselves… I know there are Afrikaans and English type words in their language but have totally different meanings to there cousins…

Strange, as Yello is a swiss techno band. It sounds like it might be of African tribal origin but I’m just guessing, especially as the word jambo features in some of Michael Jackson’s songs and it means hello.

I made the quote about age spots … you know how ripe bananas usually have the spots that resemble liver spots (age spots) on their skin – well this one did not have – this one had spots on the inside cause its soul, its mind all was reaking of old, in spite of it still being fresh and new on the skin 😀

The message I wanted to put is one of contradiction between young looking banana and being old – dull, inactive on the inside. A complete metaphore for keeping our spirits young in spite of getting old….

I am posting the stuff I usually think about, but have recently managed to shoot -and am trying to find ways to express my opinions – sometimes it echoes with people, sometimes it doesn’t. So far my readers were only concerned with my question about the language of the lyrics here. Nobody commented on the banana spots 😆

I just popped the words into an online translator which said “Bosnian
(or possibly Croatian, Serbian, or Slovenian)” Mind you, looks much more African to me…but I’m no expert! 🙂

What translating tool did you use? I am Croatian, and I understand all of the above listed languages and this is not it 😀 My conclusion is that they used a mix of indigenous African dialects in this one 😀

I wonder if those words aren’t a fusion of several languages? A bit of Swahili, definitely, but some of the words seem portuguese to me. Strange that no on-line translator software can do the job, maybe because it’s a mish-mash, maybe even some made-up words?
