Thursday’s Special: Fruits of forest

zute gljive_druge

Can someone tell me if these are edible, before it is too late? 😉

**About Thursday’s Special: It is a ‘non-challenge’ challenge that appeals to bloggers eager to wake up their creativity and show their own ideas and interpretation of the world. I invite everybody interested to join in. There are no themes, titles and techniques set for your expression, there are no limits and restrictions (no red tape whatsoever). The only thing required is to post a photo post on Thursdays entitled “Thursday’s Special: (your theme/title)” (as explained in my Thursday’s Special introductory post), to provide a link to my Thursday’s Special post, and to leave a link to your post in the comments section of my post. If you like Thursday’s Special widget, feel free to grab it and post it on your blog.

  1. I’m going to go with “no!”, and maybe even “heck no!”

. . . not that I am an expert . . . but if asked, I err toward being conservative.

  8. I would have no idea… but one thing I learnt from my Dad may years ago, if the skin peals off easily then they are edible, if not, don’t touch them… I asked how to peal them and he said he had no idea… so never having learnt how to peal a mushroom I leave them all where I find them….

    1. That’s smart, Bulldog. I have never heard about the skin coming off easily as a sign of an edible mushroom. That’s interesting. Thank you 🙂

  9. I don’t know these mushrooms. Chanterelles are easy to recognize, but I’ve never picked them. I’ve only picked magic mushrooms.

  23. Beautiful shroom photo, Paula! I admire people who can gather wild mushrooms safely, but I’m not one of them. So, my post for this week is a bit of silliness, how that’s permitted, because I couldn’t resist this time.
