Embracing Malta: Part II

From natural to man-made architecture, from Neolithic temples to Phoenician harbours, Norman fortifications and bastions defending Medieval towns to modern 21st ct architecture wherever I looked on this small, but  historically rich island I was smitten by beauty.

    1. Scrumptious with a huge variety. Excellent sea food too… We stayed at a 5 star hotel with incredible buffet breakfast. I have a friend there that arranged a discount for us so I picked the best room in the hotel :D. Terrific times!

              1. Most of the country. And just the four of them – the daughter, her hubby & her two boys.

                1. 🙂 This is cool. I hope they will not skip Dubrovnik. It should be nice and still not over-crowded in May 🙂 I know they will love it. Our people are usually hospitable, and the country is (should be) pretty safe.

        2. I forgot to mention .. I was offered the title of Lady of Malta D. I had to decline, I did not have money for the robe and sword :S

          1. That’s too bad. Why would you need to spend on the robe and sword????

            1. I think they asked me about EUR 3,000. That was way too much for me. And it was not my idea that I should join, but I was flattered :). We have a friend there who is a Knight 🙂

              1. How cool! But not at that price, thank you very much!

                1. 😆 I know 🙂 Thank God we did not have money to splash on that. My Knight friend is struggling with his jobs and business, so the title did not bring him any security either..
