Thursday’s Special: Yearning

“It was not the passion that was new to her, it was the yearning adoration. She knew she had always feared it, for it left her helpless; she feared it still, lest if she adored him too much, then she would lose herself, become effaced, and she did not want to be effaced, a slave, like a savage woman. She must not become a slave. She feared her adoration, yet she would not at once fight against it.”

– D.H. Lawrence, Lady Chatterley’s Lover

Meet my lady Chatterley

**About Thursday’s Special: It is a ‘non-challenge’ challenge that appeals to bloggers eager to wake up their creativity and show their own ideas and interpretation of the world. I invite everybody interested to join in. There are no themes, titles and techniques set for your expression, there are no limits and restrictions (no red tape whatsoever). The only thing required is to post a photo post on Thursdays entitled “Thursday’s Special: (your theme/title)” (as explained in my Thursday’s Special introductory post), to provide a link to my Thursday’s Special post, and to leave a link to your post in the comments section of my post. If you like Thursday’s Special widget, feel free to grab it and post it on your blog.

Enjoyed your quote. I think it is a fear of many independent women that they lose themselves completely to the will of the man the come to love.

      1. What is her size Paula? She seems small (judging by the side of the trim on the dress). I love her hair.

I am starting to suspect you may have a reasonable size collection of dolls. Do you collect a particular brand?

      1. What’s the book Lady Chatterley’s Lover about? Is it all just sex and scandals?

        1. There is a lot of sex, yes, and it is all one big scandal :D. The film was made with Sylvia Kristel as Lady Chatterley in early 80’s I believe, but my doll is much prettier 😀
