Thursday’s Special: Something Fishy

– Truth is I’ve been thirsty my whole life. Never really known why. (Big Fish movie)

P.S. The photo looks much better when you click to zoom in (twice).

**About Thursday’s Special: It is a ‘non-challenge’ challenge that appeals to bloggers eager to wake up their creativity and show their own ideas and interpretation of the world. I invite everybody interested to join in. There are no themes, titles and techniques set for your expression, there are no limits and restrictions (no red tape whatsoever). The only thing required is to post a photo post on Thursdays entitled “Thursday’s Special: (your theme/title)” (as explained in my Thursday’s Special introductory post), to provide a link to my Thursday’s Special post, and to leave a link to your post in the comments section of my post. If you like Thursday’s Special widget, feel free to grab it and post it on your blog.

    • Please explain it to me. I really like sculpture but I can’t figure out why the transparent whale is passing through the wals of a circle, and I’ve just spent approximately 10 minutes scrutinizing this one.

  1. That’s pretty cool. One thing that’s marvelous about blogging and sharing is finding enormous amounts of creativity out there in the world. Not only are the bloggers creative, but the subjects as well. Love it!!!

  2. What a fascinating sculpture Paula and you’ve captured it so well! There’s so much beauty surrounding you. Thanks for sharing. 😀

      • Thank you for the flowers… How did you know I like them yellow?! 🙂 :D. You did a wonderful work capturing them. so sunny and vivid and bright. I am grateful, Sophia.

        • Strangly enough I wanted to do the yellow flowers for the One Word Photo Challenge but as I looked at the photo’s and started editing them in Photoshop I kept thinking of you and then I remembered it’s Thursday today and that you have your Thursday’s Special and so I thought I am sure you won’t mind if I include your ‘non-challenge’ Challenge as well as I wanted to include information about this lovely, bright flower and lately I hardly get the chance to take part in many challenges. 😀

I am glad to hear you like yellow flowers and enjoyed the post. Thanks hon. 😀 *hugs*

    • Dear, dear Colline, I can’t see the videos at work so I will do that at home in about 5 hours :). Thank you for joining me sweetie. I will tell you my impressions later 😀 This fish sculpture was mine to enjoy for a week last summer when we stayed at a posh hotel to which it belongs. I even sat in its belly once 😀 THANK YOU 🙂

  7. hmmm…now this is very annoying!! I cannot zoom the photo…some error is cropping up!! 😦 😦 But, I can imagine what it would feel like once it is enlarged! 🙂

    • That’s weird 😦 Thank you for trying, Sayantan. I hope your week is not hectic. I’ve just seen a fabulous shot of yours on the reader… will stop by later 🙂 Thank you for your visit. It always brings joy 🙂

      • Hey Paula! Guess what? WP was kinder on my second attempt…and i take my words back! Enlarging the image creating an impact which sounded like WOW! 🙂 Awesome piece of work! Week is continuing to be quite hectic… 🙂 How about you? Still using the mint essence? 😀

        • No, I behaved myself today 🙂 I got some good news about qualifying for some part-time job translating into French and I put my French chansons playing in my earphones… the outside world ceased to exist :D. I wear a few drops of lavender though on my neck to keep me calm 😆 I am happy you like the fish sculpture.. I booked that hotel cause of that statue – was that shallow of me?

          • Hey Congratulations! Really happy for you! And lavender is a good choice 😛 Research shows it has calming effects! So, you have scientific backing! 😀 And it is a perfectly good reason to choose a hotel! If they took the effort to put it up…they would make the effort to take care of the guests! 🙂

            • Exactly.. they let me into one room, but it was noisy and the bed was a bit wobbly, iron and high, so I decided on a whim to trade it for another room and they let me – no extra charge 😀 and as a plus side I had a view of the fish 😀
