I am happy to link to marvelous black and white posts:
Y.Prior said exactly the first thing that came to my mind.
I’d also like to add that I love the composition and the light. The photo makes we where you’re shooting from…
The photo works well in B&W. I might be mistaken, but I imagine that colours would just look a bit chaotic here.
Hi CG, you saw this pic in colour before and you loved it :). I did another colour editing of the same shot and can’t decide which one I like better. I love Paris in B&W no matter how successful the colour takes are. I took this standing on Montmartre hill more specifically from Basilica Sacre Coeur π
Many thanks, Ben. I take all the photos in colour, and later I convert to black and white those that I visualise as black and white. In many case they work better in B&W, sometimes the result is equally satisfying in both processing. It works best with architecture and streets, but you would be surprised (I was) to see that it can work splendidly with landscapes too. I still need to attempt converting a sunset photo into B&W :D. I doubt that I will like it though π Thank you for your question and a nice comment.
I look down and down! Love the perspective of this shot, Paua. It’s a duzzy π (that’s American slang and I don’t even know how to spell it, but it means I like it a lot!)
Sorry about the migraine π¦ There’s always something!
wonderful!

I’d forgotten that I’d seen it before in colours. I checked out the colour version again now and must say that I prefer it in B&W!

Absolutely stunning POV.
The perspective keeps me guessing how you have taken the shot from this angle π

Great perspective. How did you get up there? Is this a helicopter shot or were you on an even taller building?

I had to climb the stairs of the Basilica, very strait and steep π

Impressive – It’s a bit of a paradox because several colors should provide a more detailed picture yet so is the black and white more detailed… π
