    1. Hello Allan 🙂 I did not take bracketed captures nor did I apply an HDR filter, but I played a lot with this one and I got this :D. I am happy you like the final result 🙂

  4. Nice street scene. It looks like they’re restoring that tower on the left.

    1. First they restored the right one, now the left.. it is taking more than twenty years…

  7. I’ll join the others and say great photograph. I haven’t forgotten that you’ve promised me some detail photos of this place as soon as they’ve finished restoring it. 😀

    1. Thank you very much, Max. After your first comment I went researching and found out that the Cathedral reconstruction would take another 5 years!!

  8. Great tones and composition, Paula!
(to be honest I do see a little vagueness at the edges of buildings and sky that look bit weird, cuz of HDR?)
    Have a great sunday, Ron

    1. 😀 Hello Ron, you can compare it with the colour original which is in this gallery https://bopaula.wordpress.com/2014/03/28/weekly-photo-challenge-street-life/. I edited to be a bit hazy, but it is not an HDR 🙂 I wanted to recreate the hazy feel of the streets . Sky may be weird cause I removed some big cable that went all the way from the edges of the buildings covering the cathedral towers to the other side of the pic.. 🙂 I appreciate your honest comment. Always a pleasure! Have a fabulous Sunday!

      1. Your talent amazes me 🙂 Thank you so much for contributing these terrific shots to Black and White Sunday. Did you shoot them in black and white (I understood that you did from your post) or you converted them later on? They are wonderful, Sophia 🙂

        1. No talent … really hon but thank you for the lovely compliment. I just take a shot of what I like and see. Shot them all in Black and White – no colour at all. Saves me the trouble of converting them and to decide which ones I should convert. LOL! Glad you enjoyed and thanks for this lovely challenge. I enjoy doing it. 😀 ♥ Big hugs ♥

  17. Last night I was tempted to come looking for your black and white Sunday, Paula, but it was late and I was tired. What a lovely surprise you sprang me this morning. I was so happy, in spite of the weather 🙂
I know exactly what you mean! I hate scaffolding- especially if it’s my first time to see a church.
