  1. Your photos almost reconcile me to zoos! Where else could you see such wonderful animals in a short stroll? You photos are superb. I’ll soon be running round the Warsaw zoo with my 18 month old grandchildren: they too need fenced space. I can guarantee my photos won’t be a patch on these!

    2. 🙂 You never know. I bet the Warsaw zoo is nicer than this one. I believe about your grandkids 😀 Have a lovely time!

  2. He’s a good-looking lion! The one in Krakow was roaring his head off- not at all amused. I really don’t like big cats caged or sad-eyed chimpanzees but if they have decent space it’s not so bad.
Many thanks for joining me 🙂 You’re always welcome.

    1. With his head cocked to the side, he actually resembles a big stuffed animated animal. Something from the Wizard of Oz perhaps.

      1. You are right, Allan 😀 That’s exactly how I saw him, like a big stuffed animal 😀

  8. Great photos! I have tried, but can’t never take a good pic in a zoo. I like the bird and lion especially.

    1. Thank you very much Amy. It is not easy to take pics through a chain link fence and scratched glass…

    2. I don’t know what bird exactly are you referring to? Is it the White-naped Crane, the Cockatoo or the African Sacred Ibis? My favourite is always the Cockatoo.

      1. I thought the African Sacred Ibis was a cool! The Cockatoo is a beauty.

  9. Great pics! I have this love/hate thing with zoos. I love that I can see animals I’d never otherwise see. I hate that they have to be caged. Last time I went to a zoo, I didn’t get good pictures. I especially love your lion and bear pictures!

  12. I’m glad I’m not an animal living in a zoo. Well, philosophically speaking I guess we can say that we’re all animals in a zoo, but at least we’re not physically caged (most of us).

    1. I would not quite agree… most of the time we are caged in 😀

      1. Yes, you’re right: most of the time we’re caged in, both physically and mentally.
