Black & White Sunday: Architecture (response to Guest Challenge)
This Sunday I am happy to have guest blogger Cardinal Guzman host B&W challenge. Cardinal chose architecture as a particularly good subject for B&W photography. His idea is for us to take photos of a building somewhere near our home where we can easily return in a few months time and shoot it again in different light and season. I did not have to go far to find a perfect subject for this challenge: a 15 minute walk from home took me to one of the modern day landmarks of Zagreb, a steel and glass tower known as Cibona.
You are invited to post photos in black & white, be it architecture or some other subject of your choice. Just leave links to your posts in the comment section. The links to your architecture posts will be displayed both here and on Cardinal’s post.
I forgot to enclose captions. The two blurred close-ups are puddle reflections 🙂 Thank you, Debbie. The change of season would be better noticed in colour shots, so I will have to think of different angles and views of the town for Spring. In any case Cardinal has been asking to see photos of Zagreb, so there will be more 😀
I wondered if they were reflections 🙂 You’ve got a few trees in there – that will be different by Spring. I’m not sure what my Spring “angle” will be either.
A wonderful array of perspectives, Paula. I’m partial to the upside down one, and the one with tree reflections, but the power is in the whole assemblage. How come I missed this when I was in Zagreb?? I’ll just have to come back!
Great post and first guest! your picture of the reflection of the tower is wonderful! that one only is very much fun! fantastic perspective and angle. I’ll be back to see more…
I see how it will work now, Paula. I wasn’t at all sure how you intended to do it. Not being a photographic expert like the Cardinal, I’ll just have to be myself when it comes to my turn 🙂 I love your gallery. At the risk of being repetitive, I like the upside downer and the reflected trees too. Sumptuous! A belated happy Sunday to you 🙂
Quite a collection, Paula! I am a sucker for reflections (windows, puddles, everything and anything) therefore you can imagine which are my favourite photos from above. 🙂 And it was a pleasure to see Cibona and a touch of Zagreb through your eyes – thank you for that!
Great photos, Paula. 🙂

I love the different views of the tower in the gallery. The tower is very cool but the ball player, the trees reflecting in the windows and the sidewalk shots are my favorites.
