    1. No, it is not. This one stands above Lisbon. As far as I could see on the Internet Åšwiebodzin’s one has a crown, and the one I saw does not.

    I first thought you had been shooting the Christ in Rio, Brazil….not yet.
    But close by, at least the language.

    Me encanta el título de tu blog, describe exactamente como me siento cada vez que el traductor de Google me traduce una página o una frase: “Perdida en la traducción”. Te cuento esto (que ya había pensado varias veces) porque en esta ocasión el tema de tu reto Man Made, no se exactamente como entenderlo; si como “Hecho por el hombre” (que es como he enfocado mi entrada), o como “Lo referente al hombre” o sea, figuras humanas. Aquí está la de hoy. Feliz semana.

    1. 😀 me encanta leerte Mariangeles, y sobre todo me gusta provocar la gente a pensar. En ingles man-made se refiere al hecho por hombre; en este caso es un poco delicado o sea provocativo pq se trata de la figura del hijo de dios, pero la escultura esta hecha por hombre, y tambien cristo fue humano por lo mas que su padre es dios, nacio como humano. Ves, a mi me gusta mucho provocar pensamientos :). A proposito de titulo de mi blog, eso nacio por varias razones; primer se trata de mi profesion – como soy traductora, y otro muchas, muchas veces estoy perdida en la comunicacion con la gente y no justamente por las razones de barieras linguisticas. 😀 Te agradezco tu interes, y que pensaste bien el tema. Voy para alla ahora mismo 🙂

      1. Sobre tu foto pensé más o menos lo que me cuentas tu, pero cuándo el traductor en la página de tu blog me puso: “todo lo referente al hombre”, me sentí un poco liada.
        AVE significa (creo) Alta Velocidad Española” y se refieren a lo trenes de alta velocidad que son una maravilla para desplazarse.
        Eres traductora…, ahora comprendo lo bien que escribes español y lo de aprender portugués en pocos días, que me parece una idea preciosa. Pero por qué portugués? Algún día enseñarás inglés?
        Tu “voy para alla ahora mismo” es que vienes para España?

        1. No, me referia al venir a tu blog. Ensene ingles por 7 anos. Soy traductora de ingles, frances y claro croata. Estudio portugues pq me gusta como la mayoridad de los idiomas romanas (latinas), pero tambien uso italiano, y estudio japones.

  19. Como voce esta estudando portugues, vou escrever meu comentario em portugues. Pensei ao principio que a foto era do Cristo Redentor no Rio de Janeiro, mas e’ interessante que esta estatua parecida esta’ em Lisboa. ‘Tou vendo agora alguns detalhes diferentes… Gostosa essa foto!

    1. No, we drove across the bridge. My Dad died in Lisbon when he was 43. I was curious about the place. I loved it.

  29. I like the gradation of tone in the sky from the left to the right.

    Shooting this statue from this perspective is a great idea. Someone should have done it with the Christ the Redeemer in Rio a long time ago.
