Changing Seasons 06

It has been six months since I started taking part in Cardinal’s changing seasons photo challenge. This time of year Maksimir (the oldest and nicest park in Zagreb) receives the most visits from its citizens and tourists alike. If you have a look at previous posts about Maksimir, you’ll hardly recognise it, still there are two buildings that I tend to show each month that are the landmarks of this beautiful park.

Don’t leave without listening to the “Human Nature” cover by a famous Croatian duo – 2 Cellos.

    These are beautiful photos Paula – it looks a very pretty park! Our seasons are changing in reverse – we have russet coloured leaves everywhere making it very attractive. Technically it’s the start of winter but it is still mild (around 20 degrees) in the daytime but much cooler at night. I think the season changes are lovely times of year 🙂

      it is beautiful with its 5 lakes, and a zoo. There is a small chapel that is never open and a viewpoint that has been closed for two years now. Before we used to go up there for a coffee and admire the view over the entire wooded area. It’s an oasis almost at the heart of the city. Thank you for the visit and comment Rosemary 🙂

      I’m sorry to hear it is so cold for you. I would like to have more moderate temperatures here too. 33 Celsius with humidity is what we are having now.

    The park is lovely and the shots too. I just read the comments here after commenting on a couple of the photos. I was wondering about the temperature too, but now I know: 33°. I love temperatures like that!
    Today it’s sunny, but windy here. It still feels cold, but hopefully we’ll get a few days with summer temperatures this season too.. 😀

        It’s freezing at the office! Central heating blah, blah so you can’t open the window to get fresh air and you can’t regulate the heat either. It’s set on constantly cold in order to keep people from falling asleep while doing their repetitive tasks.

    OK. When do I visit? Each season has its beauty and you’ve showcased them wonderfully in this park. May the temperature settle to suit you soon. I’m just hoping no more -6.7 when I reach my other daughter’s place. Summer here (ie Warsaw) has been Tshirt comfortable mid to high 20s – a bit cooler today. My feet are actually tanning lightly in sandal shape.

        How did you guess? I’ve been taking it easy, on call. I spent a few hours with the twinlets this morning with the other babcia, and our lack of common language in case one was well enough to go outside. Both are a bit off colour

      I think it’s a dahlia. There is a valley in the park that is called the Valley of Dahlias – that’s how I know. Blooms do make this hot weather easier to support…Thank you, Sue. Happy with your visit 🙂
