Where Summer turns into Fall
And conical mountains above
Receive the first snow
That’s where I call home

Woohoo! Lovely, lovely, lovely scene. It looks so quiet.

😀 Thanks, Janet. In reality I live on the sixth floor of a skyscraper and have been looking at the gray sky all day long.

In reality we live in a rental house in a suburb of Chicago and, although it’s unseasonably warm and sunny today, the wind is ferocious. However, my heart certainly lives in the mountains!

It does! If I could attached a photo, I’d show you my little “weekend to-do” list. Within in minutes of seeing your comment! Now, if we could just harness this power to stop evil and world hunger and bad politics….

“Neighbours of the heart” – what a lovely concept to match a superb photo with so many things I love: reflections, high peaks with snow, ripples, autumnal colours. Maybe I’ll see them in reality in Zakopane! But I certainly won’t capture them so exquisitely.

Zakopane should be beautiful. I was going to go there but the bad weather made that holiday very short for me. Thank you, Meg. I am happy you like the scene.

Surreal beauty, Paula! We should all have a place like this to call home. (maybe leaving out the snow for mine 🙂 ) What a shot!
I sense a happier Paula these days.

Oh dear Jo, thank you, and I so wish your “sense” was right, but I am not doing well at all, but trying to distract me. I should be hopeful despite everything. Have a good night. Appreciate your visit a lot.

Carry on with the distractions! They’re a thing of joy to all of us, and maybe you’ll come out of the other side soon.
Wishing you better health, hon. 🙂

Yes. Lovely. Quite appropriate to listen to, while sitting on a wooden deck looking at the lake and mountains… “Nuvole”? Nuvole… Clouds? White clouds? Ah. Holding a glass of Riesling or gewürztraminer in your hand. (Or any local wine that you may have over there) 😉

Autumn is also my favourite season Paula and your photo is perfect for this challenge. I dream of autumn coming here in Oz while I struggle with the heat and humidity of our summer.

I can totally identify with that, Pauline. That’s one of the reasons I like spending summer holidays (which are usually only 10 days long) high up in the mountains to get away from the summer heat in the city. Heat on the asphalt is the worst.

My travelling was usually timed around weather zones, but I will be home for a while now so will just have to put up with the heat, but only a few more weeks and it will start to cool down.
