Thanks, John. Would you like to join in?
I believe I will. Here is my entry: https://daffodilhillphotography.com/2016/09/25/black-white-sunday-layers/
Thank you, John. I like your metallic contrasts.
Layers of different styles of architecture and time periods! Perfect! 🙂
Yes! Thanks, Linda.
The detail on this is quite astonishing. There is an alarming sense of nature being squeezed with the sun just disappearing and the trees bare and then the trees enclosed by the building top right –very shivery and apropos for today’s world.
Perfect analysis, Hilary. I am very flattered 🙂 Thank you.
…and we’re not talking Photoshop layers, either! (I almost never use PS currently)….
I only used PS a couple of times to merge a couple of photos. What photo editor do you normally use?
Aperture…but it’s no longer supported by Apple, so looks like Lightroom, unless I want to stump up loads of dosh for Capture One
Fantastic shot, Paula – and the music is a brilliant match – I sat looking and listening for ages.
Working on my offering now!
Thank you, Debbie 🙂 I’m very glad that you’ve enjoyed it. I’m very curious to see your “layered” so I am rushing to your place now.

Love this kind of multi-layered photo, Paula 🙂 Wonderfully atmospheric and a nice choice of music. Wishing you the best of Sundays 🙂
🙂 thank you, Jo. That’s my metaphor for life.
We both ( A&R) adore this photo!
Give him a peck on the cheek for me 😉 😀

Wonderful perspective and contrast between new and old, and looking up that way. Here’s mine this week https://dailymusing57.com/2016/09/25/black-white-sunday-layers/
🙂 Thank you so much. I am charmed by your photo. It’s just perfect.
Lots of texture and layers. A fascinating image that I admit had to enlarge on my phone to grasp all the features.
Oh, thank you, Sue.

Here are my layers, Paula – freshly captured in Derbyshire: http://wp.me/pKVAM-20r
Such lovely textured layers, Paula. I love the angle you took it from, with the stone beam above. Very clever. 🙂 xx
🙂 cheers, Sylvia.
This is my blog post of the Tomb of Humayun’s barber.
Thank you for joining the challenge.
I probably didn’t mention that I really love the perspective in your picture. I’ve been sitting here trying to figure out if i’ve got anything that can even tangentially fit this prompt. Still thinking 🙂
This is a piece of cake for you Marilyn 🙂
very nice framing.
Thank you for the entry, Klara.
le cadrage est original, la composition aussi
Merci bien, Marc 🙂

Wow! What a neighbourhood. At least your crowd does not cook smelly meals, they eat it all raw unlike my neighbours 😀
Haha I dislike smelly neighbours. 😀

The texture on the old bricks is captivating; as all old things seem to be lately for me.
Loved the song … is this a group or just one woman singing? Have a wonderful week, Paula. Thank you for hosting.
Thank you very much, Isadora, and sorry for not being able to come to reply sooner. Too much work here. Here is some info about the musician. I only discovered her last week 🙂 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C3%B3ley
I don’t know why her name came up wrong. It is Sóley, an icelandic musician.
I’m happy to see you whenever, Paula. No worries : -)
I’m off to view the info on this fabulous singer. Thanks …. 😎
Awesome natural framing.
