Black & White Sunday: Darkness and Light
“They say there is no light without dark, no good without evil, no male without female, no right without wrong. That nothing can exist if it’s direct opposite does not also exist.”
― Laurell K. Hamilton, Incubus Dreams

Our snow season has arrived. it snowed all day and night on Wednesday and again last night. More tomorrow and the next day and the day after that. It’s a black and white world. Love the dramatic shadows in your city. Very dramatic indeed. \
Garry was out taking pictures at sunset today and got a few nice pictures, one of which will be out just after midnight, our time..

I wish that this was my city. This is in Bologna, Italy, but I do feel like I belong there. Stay warm, Marilyn. I look forward to seeing Garry’s work.

I love a bit of drama and this is such a captivating shot, Paula 🙂 That couple, drawing us through the archway, the amazing lamp and wonderful ceiling. It’s like a scene from a film. Where is it set, please? You mentioned genius. I think that this is much closer to it. Have a great Sunday! 🙂 Sending hugs!

Hi Jo. I am so very pleased that you like the shot. I took it in Bologna a couple of years ago. We only spent one night there and half a day, but I feel as if I belong there. Hugs to you. 🙂

Thank you, Debbie. My shot is from Bologna. I did not know you were in the Big Apple now. I love your entry. The harsh light makes the scene very interesting, and looks great in black and white.

Yes, just a few days, but i was delighted to see some snow here.
But today is cold and rain and all tall buildings have vanished into clouds. Today’s shots will be more for a grey theme than black & white!

Spring is in the air and some trees are beginning to bud…a bit to early for winter’s chill could be dangerous.

Amazing lamp Paula. I’m both drawn to the light but also a bit spooked by the mannequins in the shop window!
