It’s a good thing that you don’t use them. Your images deserve to be viewed life-size 😀

Yes, I agree Paula. I hadn’t really stopped to think about it, but I’ve ben using slideshow more often than galleries recently because I think they look better, but hadn’t thought why. I just had a look back at one of my monthly posts and the gallery images seem to be under-exposed compared to the same images in the slideshow. I’ve got another mixed post about to publish but I’m not really seeing any difference in preview. Will be interesting to see if I feel the same when it publishes.
Thank you, Debbie. I am afraid that they are not going to do anything about it. The difference here in two images is huge. If one looks at the balcony from Bologna in slideshow and gallery it has an entirely different colour range; the same thing happens with Rovinj section. Such a shame that it degrades images so much, and that WordPress does not intend to do anything to improve image display.

They also change sizes AND there are additional (or fewer) spaces between pictures and text. They don’t fix things.

As always a beautiful compilation. I especially love the photo of the pier and water below.

I see what you mean Paula but I have no idea on how to get it right either sorry. A great collection for your month recap. Under the pier and the owl are my favourites 😀
