BLACK & WHITE SUNDAY: WINDOWS

Last week for Black & White Sunday I converted a landscape shot to monochrome to get rid of the pink colour, and today I am showing a monochrome image where I purposely retained some colour. This method is called selective colouring. The theme of today’s photo challenge is WINDOWS. Show me some windows, old or new, selectively coloured or entirely monochrome it is up to you. Wishing you all a good Sunday and a great week ahead!

  1. Oh, a perfect one for selective colouring. And the almost symmetry is appealing – made me look closely and for a long time (while listening to the cheerful music). Happy Sunday to you too Paula

  4. A lovely sonata of shapes: ovals, rectangles, diamonds, squares, quadrilaterals, and then the rough circles of leaves and flowers. And that’s not to mention the perfect selective colouring and the rough texture of the bricks. So much to love.

  22. It’s hard to match your very unusual windows, Paula – so eye-catching, too, with the red geranium. Here are some Wenlock windows: https://tishfarrell.com/2017/06/04/through-a-window-darkly-looking-with-henry-james-eyes/ Wishing you a good week ahead. I’m just off to the allotment in the evening sunshine – transplanting golden marjoram, apple mint and oregano. They smell blissful 🙂

  23. Hoping you are having a peaceful Sunday. I often find myself feeling a bit “green” as I view your images…the architecture and landscape that you share are so beautiful and message the passing of time as well as invite imagination of the past.
