THURSDAY’S SPECIAL: S-CURVE

Curves are nice, attractive and fun, aren’t they? I love them too,  especially in nature. This image comes from Croatian National Park – Plitvice Lakes. If you want to visit it, just follow the snake.

    1. It is, absolutely, when you are not pushed around by other visitors- It tends to get very crowded in summer.

  6. I have always wanted to see them, Paula. A good friend returned from Croatia a couple of weeks ago and she had added Krka Falls to these. I would be very happy with either. Hoping your weekend brings you joy and much needed peace. I will be in Nottingham with my daughter. Take care! 🙂 🙂

And I struggled a bit with this one. I have a lake that was named for its curves, but isn’t as curvy as it name suggests! So I’m more at the c-curve rather than the s-curve! https://travelwithintent.com/2017/06/15/serpentine-hyde-park-bend/

  15. What an absolutely idyllic spot you’ve captured. Is this a place for swimming? The colour of the water looks so inviting.
I struggled to find S curves so imagination is necessary with mine today https://irenewaters19.com/2017/06/15/s-curve-thursdays-special/

    1. No, no swimming there. It’s a Unesco heritage spot 🙂 Irene, I love your entry and when I look at it, I can’t believe that you struggled 😀

      1. I would only be able to visit then in spring or autumn (I presume it probably freezes over in winter) as the water looks far too inviting.
It was amazing the amount of backwards S’s I have photographed. Birds always seem to face the wrong direction but as usual it was a lot of fun and a great challenge.

  27. I did it…a “s-curve” COLOR photo for Thursday’s Special! I spent yesterday looking for s-curves in the landscape when I suddenly walked by two ducks spending their early evening in a field of dandelions…I see a “s” in his profile.
