Glorious light in the first and last photos, and just the cloud for nubilous – five excellent compositions to spur us on. Thank you, Paula, and lovely to have you back. Thursday is not the same without you 🙂
So lovely to catch up with you, Tish. Thank you.
Fabulous choices for this week’s Challenge!
Many thanks, Anna 🙂
All your photos are wonderful but the first one stands out for me. I’d love to stay in that lakeside (?) cottage also. Loved the music. The words you chose for this week were good. I hadn’t heard the word nubilous before and it is one I will remember. Mine https://irenewaters19.com/2017/08/10/five-words-thursdays-special/
Imagine, teaching you a new word. So very flattered with your comment and your incredible entry 🙂
There are lots of words I don’t know. One reason I like reading on a kindle – so easy to find out meanings. I’m too lazy to go and get a dictionary with a print book.

Love the first picture. Great atmosphere. 🙂
Very pleased that you do, Sonja. Thank you 🙂
Glad you’re back, Paula! By the way…nebulous? Not nubilous?
Nubilous from Latin nūbilus

OK….not in my dictionary, but it appears to be synonymous with nebulous when I looked it up online!!
“nebulous” is used in Croatian as “nebulozan” meaning non-sensical that’s why I avoid it 😀
Great pics Paula, welcome back.Beijinhos!!!
Beijinhos Paulo 🙂
Welcome back Paula! Love the sunlight on Nautical and the sun in setting. Hope you enjoyed the time away. Love the song- haven’t heard it in a long time always loved it. Will make my choices soon!
It’s good to see you again Lisa. I hope that you are spending your summer well. I will be over soon. xx
Excellent post, Paula. I loved all the pictures, the scond and the third being my favourite ones. Wishing you a nice day a nice weekend! 🙂
Muchas gracias. Muy contenta que te gusta Eleazar.

What a beautiful, beautiful sunset with all the hill chains in various layers! And I like the fact that I had to look up and hence, learn a new word today! Bowing to economy, I tried to get all five words in one photo: https://picturesimperfectblog.wordpress.com/2017/08/10/holy-five/
I love when you are economical. I expected something great from you, but still you managed to surprise me 🙂 Thank you!

All your photos are great, Paula, but those first two are breathtaking! Love that song! Welcome back, my friend! 😀

https://tishfarrell.com/2017/08/10/nubilous-and-nautical-thursdays-special-on-anglesey/ Am a bit behind today – but here at last.
I like the song but I must admit I was singing Fog on the Tyne, Paula. 🙂 🙂 First and last are my favourites.
I lost a lovely friend today and am not in the mood to post, but Tish is not wrong. You have been missed.
Jo, I am so sorry to hear that :(. (I don’t know that song, and luckily I did not see fog on Tyne yet). Be well. I appreciate your visit on such a day. Hugs
Thanks, hon 🙂

Just posted mine, Paula…nubilous
I’ve been missing your splendid photos and the generosity of this challenge, which often provides me with a new word: nubilous this time. They are all studies in light one way and another.
Nublious. Good one. Had to look it up. love the new words. Wonderful pictures. Nautical for the tiny boat is hilarious and I love your motley!
🙂 So glad you like them, Marilyn.

Here are my pick this week Paula- hope you are easing back into “real life” after time away! Enjoy the weekend
Yes, easing would be the right thing, but no such luck. Work volume has tripled in my absence, but remembering all the great trips we made during holidays keeps me in a good mood. Thank you, Lisa for being so prompt 🙂

I thought I’d left a comment but obviously didn’t… how rude! Creeping senility, must be.
I love the shot of the cows the best
I was always told if cows are sitting rain is imminent.
I’ve posted my contribute, Paula…..
