THURSDAY’S SPECIAL: MESSAGE

For this challenge I decided to post a photo I took while I was pretending to be a tourist in my own town. It was a fun experiment with some really cool finds like this one from the upper town which is very frequented by visitors all year around.

So here it is – my message or should I say “massage” from Zagreb 😀

    1. No, just a car that I had to pay to photograph.

  7. OMG adore that car #wantone . One of my favorite ways to entertain myself when I was stateside was to play tourist in my hometown. A favorite was to ask directions to The Empire State Building while standing right in front of it. I’d get the oddest, most humorous responses. Ahoy from Ko Bulon Le.

  15. You had to PAY to photograph this car? They should be paying you for the publicity you have now given the city!

    1. 😀 You are absolutely right my dear – not to mention that he re-parked the car for me and made me pay again and in the meanwhile five or more real tourists went by taking pictures and not paying anything. That’s Croatia for you – not patriotic at all! Still, I found better people and experiences that day, but most of them took me for a foreigner (serves them right!)

  19. The notion of being a tourist in your home town is a really good one – looking at the usual with extra-fresh eyes. I’ve interpreted message a few different ways on the Talyllyn Railway. Hope things aren’t too fraught with you.

    1. Thank you very much, Tish. I wish I could spend more time here and visit, but this is not possible any more. I just hope that my health will permit me to continue this blog. The work has become much too stressful, but I have no other options.

      1. You could perhaps think of parking the blog for a while. You really don’t need to wear yourself down, and everyone would come back again when you’re ready. Or perhaps the challenges could be once a month. That seemed to work quite well when Max was doing Changing Seasons. Txx
