THURSDAY’S SPECIAL: SATURATION

I am sorry I can’t always keep this photo challenge a weekly event due to my ever increasing workload and stresses at work, but whenever I can I am happy to be here to challenge you and look at your entries. For this week I thought it would be a good idea to tackle “saturation”. It can be interpreted as colour saturation in photography – especially evident in the image post-processing, which is what I did in my examples below, but you can also take it from another angle. Did you know that you can be saturated with work too?

    The saturation really adds depth to your image. You picked a very good photo to use an example. I often fiddle with curves to get similar effects. I hadn’t realised simply increasing the saturation would do it.
    I completely understand why you can’t keep up weekly challenges. I’m finding I can’t even keep up responding to challenges regularly at present. Work saturation/life saturation – it all seems to be on the increase. 🙂

    I’m down my usual PC and working with unfamiliar software and very few photographs. I got hacked to the degree that until it is fixed, it is closed down — with . my cell phone which is linked to it. So I did the best I can with limited tools and even more limited pictures. Maybe by the time this is posted, my PC will be back up — possible having burned in a new OS. I love computers, but they also make me crazy.

    That is a very interesting tree! It could be a cage if you grew it right 😀
