Hello and welcome to the 2nd edition of the Pick a Word in 2021. I hope that you are all well and still interested in participating. I am a bit slow checking the entries and writing new posts, but I will not give up.
Here is what I have been thinking of for February:
MATERNAL
GUARDING
COHABITATION
GROUNDLESS
VARIEGATED
For those that are new to this photo challenge: you can pick one or more of the provided five words and illustrate them in your photos, or you can also do all five.

Image info:
#1 “Maternidade” at Jardim Amália Rodrigues, Lisboa (work of Fernando Botero)
#2 Guards in front of the Palacio de Belem, Lisboa
#3 “Cohabitation” shot at Riserva Naturale Regionale della Foce dell’Isonzo Isola della Cona, Italia
#4 “Groundless” takes us to the Kielder Forest, UK
#5 “variegated” is one of my now dead orchids
The score is by Turkish film music composer Cem Tuncer. The track titled “Challenge” (Meydan Okuma)
A great choice of words as ever, Paula. Your cohabitation gave me a smile, and I love the Botero sculpture – you have caught that so well.

I’ll get on it right now (after chores, sigh). What a beautiful coloured orchid that is. I have lots of orchids (they are all rescue orchids, somebody in our house discards them in the bin when the last blossoms go, and they seem to like it in our flat – but I’m bound by her colour choices). And that horse and egret seem so peaceful! Great pictures all round!

Yet another skill you have. Cultivating orchids is something that evades me, although I occasionally spot native orchids in the bush. Groundless would stump me – not you. Another great collection of words and images – annotated what’s more. Thank you.

I like this! Positive ideas only. Smart. Have you ever had negative vibes? I can’t imagine that you would, Paula. I found your post through Leya’s entry for this month. It’s lovely. I’m organizing my photos so maybe I can find some that fit. By the way, I interview challenge hosts on my blog, if you are interested in participating. I’d love to have you. 🙂 You can check out some of my other interviews and let me know if you’re interested. https://tchistorygal.net/challenge-interview-series/
