THURSDAY’S SPECIAL: PICK A WORD – NOVEMBER 2021

It’s time for November’s Pick a Word photo challenge. This time I have four completely new photos from my country and one which is an embellished memory. The words are rather simple (most of them), but it does not mean that their interpretation isn’t challenging. Here you go:

EMBELLISHED

LEAFAGE

PANORAMIC

PONDEROUS

SURROUNDED

Now a mobile phone shot of a scene in front of my home. Here panorama is used figuratively … the hotel is being refurbished and I wanted to click while it is still semantically correct (at least in Spanish).

Have fun and see you next month!

#2 – November leaves

#3 – Hotel being refurbished

#4 – A statue of Miroslav Krleža, Croatian writer

  4. The statue of Miroslav Krleža looks so sad. I’ve looked this writer up and photos of him show that he could also smile, also his work as described in wikipedia also doesn’t suggest a sombre body of work. But it is an impressive sculpture. And the castle with the lake in front is just gorgeous!

    1. His thoughts as well as his body of work and the body itself were ponderous. The thing that gives the sad look to the statue is the acid rain tear mark. Good for you for looking him up. 😊
