Weekly Photo Challenge: A Romantic Escape

In the shadow of the majestic Notre Dame there is a bridge known as Pont de l’Archevêché where people leave their love padlocks locked on the structure of the bridge. On May 3, hubby bought one of these, engraved our initials on it, chained it to the bridge, and tossed the key into the Seine. A street musician was playing one of my favourite chansons La bohème. It was the day when I took this sunset photo of Notre Dame, and without doubt the most romantic day on my trip.

Weekly Photo Challenge: UNIQUE

For my birthday a few days ago I made one wish only: to be wiser, and not necessarily older. The photo bellow is a step in that direction.

The owl picture is a royalty free photo found on the Internet, and the merged face is mine. I give you Powla 😉

Weekly Photo Challenge: LOVE

Lurking in the shrubs, away from the crowd I managed to take this chicken paparazzi photo. It would have turned out better, if the circumstances had permitted it, but hey, they are in LOVE.

Weekly Photo Challenge: BIG

I may have faith enough to move mountains, but without love, I am nothing.

I hope you will enjoy my vision of BIG while listening to the attached music.

Versatile Blogger Award – Take 2

Hey guys, I am on the roll here… two nominations in one day – this should flatter anyone – and my second nomination for the Versatile Blogger Award.

Dear pinay e-motion  I am sorry to be a disappointment, but I have already declined the same generous award a few weeks ago, and what matters to me most is that you enjoy what I have to offer here and that you visit me and find inspiration in my posts.

Please, receive my thanks and understand that I will have to decline it again.

We are here to write logs about what we know or do or feel and for me giving an award to someone’s personal place would be like evaluating someone’s life and I don’t feel comfortable accepting it. Nevertheless, I am immensely flattered and honoured with your generous gesture.

I usually thank my nominators with a picture and a song…

And this song and picture have been chosen especially for you wishing you love and happiness for ever.

Weekly Photo Challenge: CLOSE (people)

Ms Rosso suggested closeness between people as this week’s photo challenge example, and therefore I decided to post another “close” scene featuring my hubby and me.

Weekly Photo Challenge: HANDS & another one: SUMMER

This past Friday brought me two photo challenges or better said pressures. I have been trying to take photos of hands with my new Canon PowerShot G1 x but the results are so disappointing (sometimes working under pressure can be counter productive). Still as  I am not the one to pass on a challenge I dug up some old photos that can account for both hands and summer.

Some might argue that hands are not instrumental in the one of me in a Nike shirt, but I say hell yes. Just takes an attentive eye to notice all the hands in the photo and most of all to give credit to the one pressing the shutter button.
