This month I am combining my Thursday’s Special event with the #photo101 assignment for that day. I will be happy, if you join me. Remember, for my event you can come up with your own special theme.
There you can also read what I think of their choice of the theme for today. I committed to do it, to post every day and to combine it with my event. I apologise to everybody who might get frustrated while looking for something swarmy to post today.

This week’s TS entries are:

For today’s theme I decided to show recreated late Neolithic houses at Stonehenge that I saw in May this year. The project wasn’t finished, but I managed to snap a shot.
“The houses are based on some small buildings excavated in 2006 and 2007 at Durrington Walls, a henge monument just over a mile to the north-east of Stonehenge, as part of the Stonehenge Riverside Project. These buildings date from around the same time as the stones were being put up at Stonehenge, about 2500 BC. Ten buildings were excavated, and it is likely that there were many more. From the remains of animal bones and pottery near the houses, it seems as if late Neolithic people were gathering at Durrington on a seasonal basis, probably at midwinter. As well as the houses, there were several timber monuments and an avenue linking the complex to the River Avon. It is thought that the people who lived for some of the year in these houses were the builders or users of Stonehenge.” (neolithichouses.wordpress.com)

Today’s music comes from Oslo, from the remarkable young composer Peder B. Helland. At only 19 years of age, this Norwegian artist, has already written an impressive opus of instrumental music ranging from dark, suspense, to emotional melodies and relaxing soundscapes featuring a variety of instruments like piano, cello, violin, bagpipe and many more.
Meeting a talent like Peder’s is not an every day occurrence, and I have to share the enthusiasm and inspiration I find in his work.

This is my entry for today’s #photo101 project: Mystery.

Not a typical view, and hardly a view that anybody outside the town would recognize; I give you the tallest tower of the Italian Medieval “Manhattan”.

Già sembra lontano che sono stata a Bologna….
