In a stack of my childhood photos there is one very dear to me. A photo of my mule that was once very valuable to my family, and which today makes part of my most treasured memories. Remembering your roots, knowing where you come from, and cherishing all the love you received on your way – that is valuable.
Thank you for the challenge idea Jake and for inspiring me to share my most precious childhood memory.
You write good stuff up here, so please keep penning and keep inspiring! π
I would like to thank you for following my blog. I hope my blog doesnβt disappoint you and that your visits in my blog have been and will always be a joyful ride.
You really think I write good stuff Subhan? Thank you. I always want to know what people think, though I have my own ideas… Honesty and outspokenness are very high on my list. When your blog starts disappointing me, you will be the first one to know π
Have a great one Subhan! π
Just beautiful Paula. I share your thoughts, “Remembering your roots, knowing where you come from, and cherishing all the love you received on your way β that is valuable.” Memories keeps us hopeful for today and the future ahead. Wonderful image…Thanks. Have a great weekend!
Thank you C. π That’s why I decided to post it, though it is something really close to my heart, very intimate and I still feel a bit reluctant about baring my soul entirely here π
Paula, I’m dying to include this song on my playlist. Please give me the artist since I know many songs with that title.
I didn’t know what you did but I felt chill up and down my spine when I was hearing it. It’s very soothing the ears and it made me cringe. This is what I feel when I like a song. Please reply asap.
Hi Sony… this is some new band… there is not even a full album yet “Tin Sparrow” :). Some time ago I paid $20 to be able to upload my own music to my blog and just that you know.. almost all of my pictures have music attached, so when you feel like it, give it a listen. If you want, I can send you this track to your email :)., I am thrilled you like it π
Common, I have a thing with music and I have collected considerable already. See, it’s my pleasure to get new sounds especially something as cool as Tin Sparrow’s. I was searching for it on the via google a while ago hoping to find the lyrics. I actually thought it’s John Denver’s.
Thank you so much Marc. I am glad to see you back here. How have you been?
I love all mules, donkeys, horses, but these days my only pets are pigeons π
That is a lovely picture, valuable indeed! So you the little girl on the mule??? I have a photo like that, on a donkey as a kid! π I guess that’s the beauty kids from past years could cherish. I don’t think it’s easy to find a donkey these days…..
This picture of your childhood is so lovely. The entire scene including the diligent mule is now a beautiful memory. It stirs me enough to add a quote to honor this post “Childhood is measured out by sounds and smells and sights, before the dark hour of reason grows” ~John Betjeman
