You know how you sometimes pass by things and never have a closer look, or stop to take a photo. The same happened with this railway bridge that I pass under every day on my way to work. Today I was so happy to see Jake back with us and his challenge on, that I went out even before my morning coffee, and took a photo of it.

As a student I dreamed of studying on French Sorbonne, but it never happened. Many years later (as in this May) I had a chance to see it for the first time. I took some crappy photos that I had to over-process to give them soul, but somehow they seemed perfect for Jake’s new theme: Window.
If you look closely at the photos, you’ll see the inscriptions above the windows showing that each window is dedicated to a different faculty department (mathematics, paleontology, mechanics…). I was desperate to find the linguistics, but it seems that those guys are not allowed to see the light of day ;). Happy Sunday everyone!

A few years ago I got ill, and was scared and in despair. However, things got better; I had friends that helped me find the strength within me to fight and hope. One of them was my good luck charm that I parted with a year later by giving it to another person as I foolishly thought I would never need it again. These days I have retrieved my good luck charm, my lost sheep, and once again felt the support of my friends through another rough patch.
I know that our belief in the good luck charm is what makes it a good luck charm, but still I am happy to have my lost sheep back with me, and to be reminded never to stop hoping.
I would like to thank Jake for this theme… He must have been reading my mind when he came up with it 🙂

Something keeps calling me to Italian lakes over and over again, and it shall be one of my goals for this summer. Hopeful to discover more places like Orta San Giulio I am enclosing a photo I took two summers ago.
Thank you Jake for making us think of our goals or in my case dreams ;). I’ve just realised this is my 100th post 🙂 I hope it is milestone-worthy.
